RESOLUTION - Honoring Marge Wolfer for her contributions to the Kansas City community.

WHEREAS, Marge Wolfer was born and raised in Conception, Missouri, where she was one of nine children; and
WHEREAS, after competitively playing sports in high school, Marge attended Mount Mary University in Yankton, South Dakota; and
WHEREAS, Marge continued to give back to her hometown for 30 years by sponsoring a student each year to go to a trade school; and
WHEREAS, after returning to Kansas City, Marge worked for Hallmark Cards for nearly 34 years; and
WHEREAS, in that time, Marge also raised two children and became the proud grandparent of six grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, after her retirement, Marge stayed busy and became a greeter at Kauffman Stadium, Arrowhead Stadium, T-Mobile Events Center, Sporting Park, and CPKC Stadium; and
WHEREAS, Marge has become well known for making everyone feel welcome at sporting events, treating everyone with kindness and respect; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the Mayor and Council hereby express their sincere gratitude to Marge Wolfer for her contributions to the community; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution is spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof is presented to Marge Wolfer with the appreciation of the Mayor and Council for her support of the Kansas City community.
