Authorizing Amendment No. 3 in the amount of $200,000.00 to an agreement with Anderson Engineering, Inc. for design services in the inspection of city sidewalks for a total contract amount of $912,725.00.

WHEREAS, on August 10, 2017, the Council expressed support in a data-driven systematic sidewalk program to prioritize sidewalk inspections and repairs through Committee Substitute for Resolution 170516;
WHEREAS, on April 18, 2019, the Council approved Ordinance No. 190286, a design services contract with Anderson Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $466,225.00 for the project; and
WHEREAS, on October 15, 2020, the Council approved an amendment through Ordinance No. 200849, for a design services contract with Anderson Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $200,000.00 for the project; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 3 with Anderson Engineering, Inc. for design services in the inspection of various sidewalks, generally between 48th Street and South City Limits, in the amount of $200,000.00 for with a total contract amount of $912,725.00 from funds previously appropriated to the following accounts:
AL-3521-898077-B-89022011 Sidewalk Inspections $117,522.92
AL-3522-898077-B-89022011 Sidewalk Inspections 82,477.08
TOTAL: $200,000.00
A copy of the amendment is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works.
Section 2. That the Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Department to assure fair representation by socially and economically disadvantaged groups, approved for this project, a thirteen (13) percent representation by Minority Owned Businesses and eight (8) percent representation by Women Owned Businesses for this project.
