RESOLUTION - Honoring Tracy White on her retirement after more than 36 ½ years of dedicated service with the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

WHEREAS, Ms. White has been employed by the City of Kansas City, Missouri, since July 3, 1989, and will retire from public service and specifically the Municipal Court on February 1, 2026; and
WHEREAS, Ms. White began her career with the Municipal Court as a Stock Clerk 1 and advanced over the years to Stock Clerk 2, Stores Manager, Customer Service Supervisor, and currently Senior Administrative Assistant with the working title of Facilities Manager, maintaining supplies and coordinating all courthouse building maintenance and repairs; and
WHEREAS, while serving as Customer Service Supervisor, Ms. White led the team that was once responsible for filing, organizing, cataloging millions of Municipal Court paper tickets, and making sure the correct tickets went to each of the nine courtrooms each day; and
WHERAS, when the Municipal Court transitioned from paper tickets to the paperless ticket age in 2011, Ms. White was an integral part of the leadership team and oversaw the cataloging and shipment of three million paper tickets to off-site archives and then continued to help process record requests that required ordering paper tickets from archives; and
WHEREAS, for many years Ms. White has participated in numerous City and Municipal Court activities, never failing to deck the halls for the holidays, acting as the unofficial court historian by amassing a treasure trove of pictures, and participating in annual charity campaign events by dressing up for Halloween costume contests, making treats for bake sales and entries for chili cookoffs, Ms. White is the epitome of a team player; and
WHEREAS, Ms. White has left her mark on the City and Municipal Court by serving in a friendly, confident, and professional manner, always exuding warmth and goodness, and providing exemplary internal and external customer service; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the Mayor and Council hereby recognize Tracy White for her 36 ½ years of service to the City of Kansas City, Missouri; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Ms. Tracy White with thanks of the Mayor and City Council and their wishes for a very happy retirement.
