WHEREAS, Section 3 of Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 260399 directed the City Manager to allocate funding for the Vacant Property Education Campaign in the amount of $50,000.00 as part of the first quarter FY 2026-27 budget analysis, subject to availability of funds in the Development Services Fund; and
WHEREAS, the FY 2026-27 first quarter budget analysis has determined an appropriation to support this directive will require a drawdown of fund balance in the Development Services Fund; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the sum of $50,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Development Services Fund, Fund No. 2210, to the following account:
27-2210-573270-B Vacant Property $50,000.00
Section 2. That the Director of Neighborhoods is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 27-2210-572370-B.
Section 3. That this ordinance relating to the appropriation of money is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(C) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.
