Authorizing a $610,000.00 facility repair and maintenance contract Amendment No. 6 to Contract No. 314 with McClure Engineering Company, for the Flood Warning System Maintenance Contract #7 authorizing an extension of the term of Contract No. 314 for an additional 365 days for a total term of 3,134 days (approximately 8.5 years) for a total contract amount of $1,977,464.83.

WHEREAS, the City entered into a $300,364.83 contact with McClure Engineering Company on May 30, 2016, for the Flood Warning System Maintenance Contract #7; and
WHEREAS, City has previously executed a no cost Amendment No. 1 dated March 28, 2017 to extend the term of contract; and
WHEREAS, City has also previously executed an Amendment No. 2 dated April 20, 2018, in the amount of $240,000.00, to amend the total contract amount to $540,364.83; and
WHEREAS, City has also previously executed an Amendment No. 3 dated April 4, 2020, in the amount of $289,000.00, to amend the total contract amount to $829,364.83; and
WHEREAS, City has also previously executed a no-cost Amendment No. 3A dated April 2, 2021; and
WHEREAS, City Council passed Ordinance No. 210150 on March 4, 2021, authorizing a $289,000.00 Facility Repair and Maintenance Contract Amendment No. 4 with McClure Engineering Company, for the Flood Warning System Maintenance Contract #7 project, and a 579 day time extension bringing the contract to a total of 2,404 days (approximately 6 years 7 months) for a total contract amount of $1,118,364.83; and
WHEREAS, City Council passed Ordinance No. 220252 on March 31, 2022, authorizing a $249,100.00 Facility Repair and Maintenance Contract Amendment No. 5 with McClure Engineering Company, for the Flood Warning System Maintenance Contract #7 project, and a 365 day time extension bringing the contract to a total of 2,769 days (approximately 7 years 7 months) for a total contract amount of $1,367,464.83; and
WHEREAS, this proposed $610,000.00 facility repair and maintenance contract Amendment No. 6 is for additional services as well as a time extension of 365 days bringing the total term to 3,134 days (approximately 8.5 years) days; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Director of Water Services Department is authorized to execute Amendment No. 6 to Contract No. 314 in the amount of $610,000.00, for a total contract amount of $1,977,464.83, with McClure Engineering Company, for the Flood Warning System Maintenance Contract #7 project, Project No. 60820007. A copy of this amendment is on file in the office of Water Services.
Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $610,000.00 from the following accounts to satisfy the cost of this amendment:
24-8200-802331-619060 Stormwater Flood Monitoring $310,000.00
24-2320-802331-619060 Stormwater Flood Monitoring 300,000.00
TOTAL $610,000.00
Section 3. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to extend the term of Contract No. 314, with McClure Engineering Company, for an additional 365 days for a total term of 3,134 days (approximately 8.5 years) for a total contract amount of $1,977,463.83.
