RESOLUTION - Acknowledging Kansas City’s Human Resources Department for the “Scoring Big with Your Benefits” fair and to raise awareness for the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment period.

WHEREAS, the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment period will take place March 9th through March 20th; and
WHEREAS, the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment period is the opportunity for City employees to review their current benefits and make changes for the upcoming year; and
WHEREAS, the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment period will feature several enhancements including expanded Supplemental Life and Dependent Life Insurance options as well as the introduction of pet insurance; and
WHEREAS, on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 10am-6pm the Human Resources Department will host the “Scoring Big with Your Benefits” fair where employees can work one-on-one with Human Resources staff to make changes to their current plan; and
WHEREAS, this event will also include fun activities, food trucks and much more and will take place at the Convention Center Ballroom A and B at 301 W. 13th Street Kansas City, Missouri 64105; and
WHEREAS, this is the first time that this benefits fair will take place during the workday and employees are encouraged to come out so they can talk to the subject experts in the Human Resources Department about important benefit decisions; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the Mayor and Council hereby acknowledge the “Scoring Big with Your Benefits” fair on the 13th Day in March at the Downtown Convention Center and the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment period for City employees; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Tiffany Watson with the appreciation of the Mayor and Council for their dedication and service to the City.
