RESOLUTION - Recognizing the efforts, dedication, and commitment of a collective of Kansas Citians that made “The Great Kansas City Cleanup” possible in the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City remains committed to creating a community that is safe, healthy, and vibrant with volunteering initiatives like “The Great Kansas City Cleanup” and through our Kansas City Parks Ambassador program; and
WHEREAS, we uplift the many individuals, neighborhood groups, community organizations, businesses, and City employees who took time out of their day to beautify the community we all call home; and
WHEREAS, we recognize the leadership of Annelissa Taylor, Kelly Turner, Robert Woods II, and Sara Becker for leading the Great Kansas City Cleanup effort; and
WHEREAS, we recognize Aaron DeWitt, Alice White, Amanda Wilson, Angela Bass, Ann Greene, Barbara French, Ben Hyde, Carrie Luce, Christopher Lowrance, Coyla Lockhart, Elise Jackson, Eric Davis, Gretchen FitzGerald, Jan Fakoury, Jenny Fenton, Joe Zivny, Johnnie Lee, Jorge Coromac, Kade Castleberry, Karen Rogers, Kent Stones, Mark Frazier, Marli Klumb, Monica Schroer, Nancy Simons, Renee Miller, Robin Wall, Ruanda McFerren, Tracy Flowers, Tracy Hull, and Vicki Johnson for their commitment to this project and our community as Kansas City Parks Ambassadors and volunteer site leaders; and
WHEREAS, we recognize employees Heidi Markle, Erich Steyaert, Lucy Fletcher, and Mary Guerra for their commitment as project site leaders; and
WHEREAS, their diligence and persistence make our city cleaner, more welcoming, and a better place for all. Thank you for your hard work and unwavering commitment to our community; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the Mayor and Council hereby honor the hardworking members of “The Great Kansas City Cleanup” who have dedicated their time to improving the City we all call home; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to City staff who have chosen to pursue a task to help our community with the gratitude of the Mayor and Council for their impact on Kansas City.
