Approving the recommendations of Arterial Street Impact Fee District E Committee; appropriating $600,000.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Arterial Street Impact Fee District E - Line Creek Fund to Northwest Barry Road & North Amity Avenue - Traffic Signal Project; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

WHEREAS, on June 30, 2025, the Arterial Street Impact Fee District E Committee recommended allocating $600,000.00 to fund the construction of a traffic signal for the Northwest Barry Road & North Amity Avenue - Traffic Signal Project; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the recommendations of the Arterial Street Impact Fee District E Committee for project allocations in the Impact Fee District are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the sum of $600,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Arterial Street Impact Fee District E - Line Creek fund to the following account:
26-2435-897299-B-89004985 NW Barry Rd & N Amity Ave - Traffic Signal $600,000.00
Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is designated the requisitioning authority for account 26-2435-897299-B.
Section 4. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance, or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.
