Authorizing the Manager of Procurement Services to execute a $975,000.00 Art Purchase Contract with NicNac, LLC for the acquisition of the sculptural work “The Air Up There” through the One Percent for Art Program at the KCI New Single Terminal project.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Arts Commission met on April 9, 2021 and voted unanimously to approve the artist’s proposal, and 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Manager of Procurement Services is authorized to execute a $975,000.00 Art Purchase Contract with NicNac, LLC for the acquisition of “The Air Up There” for the KCI New Single Terminal.  A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is on file with the Manager of Procurement Services.

                     Section 2. That the sum of $975,000.00 has been previously appropriated to Account No. 8561-627270-611060-62210544.
