WHEREAS, City Council approved Ordinance No. 240598 on July 25, 2024, with SHEDIGS IT, LLC for the Water Main Replacement in the Area of Wornall Road to Oak Street and W. 66th Terrace to E. 72nd Street construction project totaling $6,241,983.00; and

WHEREAS, this proposed ordinance for a $1,252,695.00 Change Order No. 1 for installation of 2,994 linear feet replacement water lines along three street segments; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of the Water Services Department is authorized to execute Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. 9653 in the amount of $1,252,695.00, for a total contract amount of $6,927,225.00 with SHEDIGS IT, LLC, for the Water Main Replacement in the Area of Wornall Road to Oak Street and W. 66th Terrace to E. 72nd Street project, Project No. 80002331. A copy of this change order is on file in the office of Water Services.

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $1,252,695.00 from the following accounts to satisfy the cost of this change order:
