RESOLUTION - Directing the City Auditor to perform a review of the City's various boards and commissions to determine whether there is redundancy among their functions and whether certain boards and commissions have issues meeting quorum requirements; and directing the City Auditor to report back findings to the City Council within 60 days.

WHEREAS, the City has established various boards and commissions for a variety of reasons, each having a particular scope and purpose; and
WHEREAS, for purposes of improving efficiency, the City Council would like an analysis to determine whether there is any redundancy among boards and commissions; and
WHEREAS, as the City Council seeks to improve efficiency, a review of quorum issues of boards and commissions may prove fruitful to identifying and solving issues of holding regular meetings; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the City Auditor is hereby directed to perform a review of the City's various boards and commissions to determine whether there is redundancy among their functions and whether certain boards and commissions have issues meeting quorum requirements.
Section 2. That the City Auditor is directed to report back findings to the City Council within 60 days.
