RESOLUTION - Celebrating 60 years of community service for Christian Tabernacle Church of God in Christ.

WHEREAS, Christian Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, founded by Bishop Emanuel Newton, has faithfully served the people of Kansas City, Missouri for 60 years, standing as a beacon of faith, service, and community leadership; and
WHEREAS, the church has consistently provided spiritual guidance, community programs, and essential services that uplift families, restore hope, and strengthen neighborhoods throughout Greater Kansas City; and
WHEREAS, the enduring legacy of Bishop Emanuel Newton continues through the leadership of Superintendent Keith Newton I, whose ministry reflects a commitment to service, compassion, and global outreach; and
WHEREAS, Christian Tabernacle Church of God in Christ has positively impacted countless lives locally and abroad through ministry, public service, and unwavering dedication to humanity; and
WHEREAS, for six decades the church has remained a foundational pillar in the Greater Kansas City community, exemplifying faith in action and service beyond walls; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the Mayor and Council do hereby recognize and celebrate 60 years of community service by Christian Tabernacle Church of God in Christ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Pastor Keith Newton with the Mayor and Council’s best wishes for continued service and impact in the years ahead.
