RESOLUTION - Ratifying the salary of Acting City Manager Kimiko Gilmore at a temporary salary of $15,078.41 per pay period effective April 17, 2025, until May 17, 2025, and at a temporary salary of $10,192.31 per pay period beginning May 18, 2025.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 218(f) of the City Charter, the Mayor designated Kimiko Gilmore as Acting City Manager on March 6, 2025, and at least six other members of the Council later ratified the designation; and

WHEREAS, Section 218(f) of the City Charter also states the Mayor shall designate the appropriate compensation to be paid to the designated Acting City Manager, subject to ratification of at least six other members of the Council; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor has designated the compensation to be paid to Acting City Manager Gilmore as $15,078.41 per pay period effective April 17, 2025, until May 17, 2025, when a salary of $10,192.31 per pay period shall become effective; and

WHEREAS, the Council recognizes additional time and effort required by Ms. Gilmore to begin her duties as Acting City Manager; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the temporary salary for Acting City Manager Kimiko Gilmore of $15,078.41 per pay period from April 17, 2025, until May 17, 2025, is ratified.

Section 2. That the temporary salary for Acting City Manager Kimiko Gilmore of $10,192.31 per pay period beginning May 18, 2025, is ratified for the remainder of her tenure as Acting City Manager or until further action by Council.

Section 3. That, at the time Kimiko Gilmore ceases to be Acting City Manager, she shall be reinstated in her former position, or a position of equal rank, service and salary, together with any rights and privileges to which she would have been entitled had she remained in the original position.
