RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to engage community engagement in relation to the Detention Center located at 7750 E. Front Street, KCMO 64120.

WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City recently renewed the Public Safety Sales Tax that included the construction of a municipal detention center.
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City has begun construction on such a facility that could be used as the permanent location resulting in considerable less cost to the City of Kansas City; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the City Manager is hereby directed to:
1. Create a community outreach plan consistent with the Community Engagement Plan Recommendations as set forth in Resolution No. 250906.
2. Begin Community outreach within 15 days of adoption of this resolution.
3. Report finding to City Council within 60 days of engagement activities and provide recommendations that mitigate disruption to local businesses, residents and other community organizations.
