Changing the name of a roughly 1,700-foot corridor currently known as Northwest 97th Street and Northwest 95th Terrace, to consolidate all segments under the following names: Eagle Way and North Harden Avenue.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That the name of the Northwest 97th Street and Northwest 95th Terrace corridor currently named Northwest 97th Street and Northwest 95th Terrace, of approximately 1,000-feet in length from the centerline of North Colrain Avenue east to the center line of North Harden Avenue be changed to Eagle Way.
Section B. That the name of the Northwest 97th Street and Northwest 95th Terrace corridor currently named Northwest 95th Terrace, of approximately 700-feet in length from the center line of Northwest 95th Terrace north to a point south of the centerline of Northwest 96th Street be changed to North Harden Avenue.
Section C. That the Street Naming Committee convened on August 6, 2025, reviewed the request to rename the Northwest 97th Street and Northwest 95th Terrace Corridor and presented a recommendation to the City Council as to the name change pursuant to the requirements of Section 88-605-03 (F), Street Naming Committee of the City’s Zoning and Development Code.
Section D. That existing traffic ordinances on this street will remain in effect and will not be affected by the street name designation.
Section F. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed street name change hereinabove, all public notices have been given and hearings held as required by law.
