RESOLUTION - Recognizing and commending 6th District at Large Councilwoman Andrea Bough for her dedicated service to the citizens of Kansas City, Missouri.

WHEREAS, Andrea Bough has served with distinction as a member of the City Council, including as Chair of the Finance, Governance and Public Safety Committee, as Vice-Chair of the Neighborhood, Planning and Development Committee, and the Special Committee for Legal Review; and
WHEREAS, Andrea Bough has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to good governance, compassionate leadership, responsible stewardship of public resources, and thoughtful policymaking throughout her tenure on the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Andrea Bough made the establishment and advancement of the Right to Counsel program, economic development, and passionate advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community defining priorities of her time on City Council; and
WHEREAS, leveraging her 25 years of economic development experience, Andrea Bough has contributed to numerous Kansas City area organizations and public bodies, including the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority, the TIF Commission, and numerous other boards; and
WHEREAS, Andrea Bough’s commitment to Kansas City has been supported by her family, including her husband, Steve, her children, Ashley and Grant, and her dog, Bo, who have shared in her many years of service to Kansas City; and
WHEREAS, throughout her career, Andrea Bough has brought her experience as an attorney, small-business owner, and longtime civic leader to the work of building stronger neighborhoods and a more effective and equitable Kansas City; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
