Authorizing the Manager of Procurement services to execute a one-year contract renewal (EVP3425) that will exceed the $1,000,000.00 threshold with LAZ Parking, LLC to continue to provide specialized parking management services for Kansas City, Missouri parking operations, including garages, surface lots and on-street meters, enforcement and adjudication of parking tickets; authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend funds; authorizing the Manager of Procurement services to amend and extend the contract without City Council approval; and waiving the Section 2-1615(c) requirement for daily deposits.

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to continue to utilize LAZ Parking, LLC who provided these services to the city, for the term of one year; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3-41, Code of Ordinances, the City Council must authorize contracts in excess of $1,000,000.00; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Manager of Procurement Services is hereby authorized to execute a one-year contract renewal that will exceed the $1,000,000.00 threshold with LAZ Parking, LLC to continue to provide specialized parking management services for Kansas City, Missouri parking operations, including garages, surface lots and on-street meters, enforcement and adjudication of parking tickets. A copy of the contract in substantial form is on file in the office of the Director of General Services.
Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is authorized to expend previously
appropriated funds.
Section 3. The Manager of Procurement Services is authorized to renew the contract for up to four (4) more additional one-year terms without additional Council authorization.
