COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE
Authorizing the Manager of Procurement services to execute a one-year contract renewal (EVP3425) that will exceed the $1,000,000.00 threshold with LAZ Parking, LLC to continue to provide specialized parking management services for Kansas City, Missouri parking operations, including garages, surface lots and on-street meters, enforcement and adjudication of parking tickets; estimating and appropriating funds; authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend funds; authorizing the Manager of Procurement services to amend and extend the contract without City Council approval, and waiving the Section 2-1615(c) requirement for daily deposits; and establishing an effective date.

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to continue to utilize LAZ Parking, LLC who provided these services to the city, for the term of one year; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3-41, Code of Ordinances, the City Council must authorize contracts in excess of $1,000,000.00; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the revenue estimate in the following account of the Parking Fund, Fund No. 2160, is hereby increased by the following amount:
27-2160-891280-456260 Parking Citations $1,000,000.00
Section 2. That the sum of $1,000,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Parking Fund, Fund No. 2160, to the following accounts:
27-2160-891280-B Parking Meter Operations $1,000,000.00
