RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to analyze the impact of additional development on traffic, parking, infrastructure, and other safety considerations in the Union Hill and Longfellow neighborhoods and report back to Council prior to the commencement of any construction related to the development of a new Kansas City Royals stadium and team offices in the Washington Square Park and Crown Center area.

WHEREAS, the City Council is committed to retaining the Kansas City Royals in Kansas City and is committed to continuing good faith negotiations with the Royals for the development of a new stadium and team offices in the Washington Square Park and Crown Center area; and
WHEREAS, while beneficial for the local economy, such development can potentially affect traffic, parking, and infrastructure in the surrounding neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to work to address any future impact for neighborhoods near the proposed stadium and associated development; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the City Manager is directed to analyze the impact of additional development on traffic, parking, infrastructure, and other safety considerations in the Union Hill and Longfellow neighborhoods and report back to Council prior to the commencement of any construction related to the development of a new Kansas City Royals stadium and team offices in the Washington Square Park and Crown Center area.
