Estimating revenue in the amount of $1,538,000.00 to the MKC-Other Grants account; authorizing acceptance of an Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Grant offer from the United States of America, acting through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), for the purpose of providing funds for the Reconstruction of Taxiway B design, bidding, construction and construction phase services; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City Aviation Department submitted to the FAA a project application for a grant of Federal IIJA funds for a project at or associated with the Kansas City Downtown Airport - Wheeler Field (MKC); NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. The revenue in the following account of the Aviation Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:
26-8300-620000-478000 MKC-Other Grants $1,538,000.00
Section 2. That the Director of the Aviation Department, or her designee, is authorized to accept a $1,538,000.00 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) grant from the United States of America, acting through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), for the purpose of providing funds for design, bidding, construction and construction phase services for the Reconstruction of Taxiway B at the Kansas City Downtown Airport - Wheeler Field (MKC). A copy of the grant agreement is on file in the Aviation Department and is approved in substantial form.
Section 3. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.
