Appointing Marc Shaw as City Auditor and establishing annual compensation.

WHEREAS, Section 216(a) of the City Charter vests in the Mayor and Council the authority to appoint the City Auditor; and
WHEREAS, pursuant Section 216(f) to Resolution No. 250135, the Council ratified the appointment of Marc Shaw as Acting City Auditor on February 13, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined that Marc Shaw should be appointed to the position of City Auditor; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That Marc Shaw is appointed City Auditor effective March 16, 2026.
Section 2. That his annual salary compensation for serving as City Auditor shall be $185,000.00 annually, subject to subsequent adjustments by the Mayor and Council.
