WHEREAS, the City recognizes the need for comprehensive planning and coordination of multi-modal transportation initiatives to enhance mobility options for residents and visitors; and

WHEREAS, effective multi-modal transportation planning requires specialized expertise and community input to address the diverse transportation needs within the City; and

WHEREAS, establishing a dedicated commission will provide policy recommendations and oversight for transportation infrastructure, public transit coordination, and pedestrian and bicycle safety initiatives, parking policy, and regional coordination; and

WHEREAS, the City desires to integrate various transportation modes including public transit, cycling, walking, parking management, and regional connections to create a cohesive and accessible transportation network; and

WHEREAS, effective multi-modal transportation planning requires coordination with regional transportation authorities and neighboring jurisdictions; and
