Authorizing the Manager of Procurement Services to exercise a piggyback term and supply contract one (1) year extension with Technology Group Solutions, LLC, to provide information technology equipment, software, and services that will exceed the $1,000,000.00 contract threshold from previously appropriated funds.

WHEREAS, the Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS), a government purchasing cooperative, issued solicitation RFP230504 in May 2023, awarded Technology Group Solutions, LLC through contract No. 230504 for information technology, software, and related services; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Code of Ordinances Section 3-41(a)(2), the Manager of Procurement Services entered into a Piggyback Term and Supply contract EVP3386 with Technology Group Solutions, LLC, on March 18, 2024, for information technology equipment, software and services; and
WHEREAS the original contract with Technology Group Solutions, LLC, was entered into on March 18, 2024, with an initial term of eighteen (18) months and authorized two (2) one (1) year renewal options; and
WHEREAS, Amendment one (1) to contract EVP3386 with Technology Group Solutions, LLC authorized adding delivery and in-person software assistance with end-users; and
WHEREAS, the proposed piggyback term and supply contract one (1) year extension with Technology Group Solutions, LLC, is anticipated to exceed $1,000,000.00; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Code of Ordinances Section 3-41, the City Council must authorize contracts in excess of $1,000,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the City has a continuous need for the equipment and services provided by Technology Solutions, LLC; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Manager of Procurement Services is hereby authorized to exercise a piggyback term and supply EVP3386 contract one (1) year extension that will exceed the Section 3-41(a) (2) $1,000,000.00 ...
