BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to execute a lease with Southwest Airlines Company at the Kansas City International Airport for Office/Warehouse Space at the MCI Air Cargo Center 1 Facility with the lease term beginning August 1, 2023 and ending July 31, 2026, with the option for one (1) additional two-year period. A copy of the lease is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
Section 2. Estimating revenue in the amount of $105,361.47 in the Aviation Fund, Fund No. 8300, to the following account:
24-8300-620000-470643 Property Space - Rental $105,361.47

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
