COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE
Estimating revenue in the amount of $1,000,000.00 to the MKC-Other Grants account; authorizing acceptance of a State Aviation Trust Fund Grant offer from the State of Missouri, acting through the Missouri Department of Transportation, Aviation Section (MoDOT); for the purpose of providing funds for the Reconstruction of Taxiway B design, bidding, construction and construction phase services; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City Aviation Department submitted to MoDOT a project application for a grant of State Aviation Trust Funds for a project at or associated with the Kansas City Downtown Airport - Wheeler Field (MKC); NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. The revenue in the following account of the Aviation Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:
26-8300-620000-478000 MKC-Other Grants $1,000,000.00
Section 2. That the Director of the Aviation Department, or her designee, is authorized to accept a $1,000,000.00 State Aviation Trust Fund grant from the State of Missouri, acting through the Missouri Department of Transportation, Aviation Section (MoDOT), for the purpose of providing funds for design, bidding, construction and construction phase services for the Reconstruction of Taxiway B at the Kansas City Downtown Airport - Wheeler Field (MKC). A copy of the grant agreement, identified as AIR 256-107C, is on file in substantial form, in the Aviation Department and is approved.
Section 3. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accord...
