Amending Ordinance No. 221048, which sets the Council's schedule for 2023, by repealing and replacing Section 1 to add additional weeks for cancelling the City Council standing committee meetings and business and legislative sessions for the weeks of July 17, 2023, July 24, 2023, August 28, 2023, September 4, 2023, September 18, 2023, October 16, 2023, October 30, 2023, November 13, 2023, November 20, 2023, December 18, 2023, and December 25, 2023.

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 221048 was passed on December 15, 2022, to establish the Council's schedule for the year of 2023 by cancelling the City Council standing committee meetings and business and legislative sessions for the weeks of March 27, 2023, May 29, 2023, July 3, 2023, July 17, 2023, July 24, 2023, August 28, 2023, September 4, 2023, November 13, 2023, November 20, 2023, December 18, 2023 and December 25, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to amend its schedule by also cancelling the standing committee meetings and business and legislative sessions for the weeks of September 18, 2023, October 16, 2023, and October 30, 2023; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That Ordinance No. 221048 is hereby amended by repealing Section 1 and enacting in lieu thereof a new Section 1 to read as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council standing committee meetings and business and legislative sessions for the weeks of July 17, 2023, July 24, 2023, August 28, 2023, September 4, 2023, September 18, 2023, October 16, 2023, October 30, 2023, November 13, 2023, November 20, 2023, December 18, 2023, and December 25, 2023, are hereby cancelled.
