RESOLUTION - Accepting the recommendations of the Health Sciences Community Improvement District Advisory Committee and adopting the housing improvements funds program.

WHEREAS, City Council approved the petition to establish the Health Sciences Community Improvement District (“District”) by Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 200810 on February 10, 2022; and
WHEREAS, City and District entered into a Cooperative Agreement on April 8, 2022, pursuant to which the District’s Advisory Committee would make recommendations to Council for use of certain economic activity taxes (“Redirected EATS”) and adoption of a housing improvement funds program; and
WHEREAS, the Advisory Committee has submitted recommendations as outlined in the program summary attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the recommendations of the Health Sciences Community Improvement District Advisory Committee concerning the use of Redirected EATS and the housing improvements funds program are hereby adopted.
