BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Director of the Water Services Department is authorized to execute Contract No. 1751 in the amount of $12,722,536.00 with Goodwin Bros. Construction Co., for the Blue River Wastewater Treatment Plant Grit Removal and Fine Screens Project, Project No. 81000999. A copy of the contract is on file in the office of Water Services.
Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $12,722,536.00 from Account No. AL-8194-807778-611060-81000999, Sewer Treatment Facilities, to satisfy the cost of this contract.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
