Accepting and approving a twelve-month $1,127,564.00 grant with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to provide funding for HIV case management
services in Kansas City, Missouri
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That an agreement between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, whereby the State will provide funding for HIV case management services throughout the Kansas City, Missouri area for the period beginning April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022, for an amount not to exceed $1,127,564.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part by reference.
Section 2. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to expend the sum of
$896,647.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 21-2480-505404- G50242224 for the contract.
I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is
to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
