Appropriating $2,172,000.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to be placed in the budget of the Kansas City Police Department for the purposes of holding up to a 104 person academy class for the 2021-22 fiscal year; designating requisitioning authority; and recognizing that this ordinance has an accelerated effective date as provided in the City Charter.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the transfer in the following account of the General Fund is increased by the following amount from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund:
KCMBU-22-1000-129996-980001 Transfer to KCPDU $2,172,000.00
Section 2. That revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby increased in the following additional amount:
KCPDU-22-1000-210000-599900 Transfer from KCMBU $2,172,000.00
Section 3. That the sum of $2,172,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following accounts:
KCPDU-22-1000-211482-A Entrant Officers $2,172,000.00
Section 4. That the Board of Police Commissioners is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. KCPDU-22-1000-211482.
Section 5. That this ordinance, appropriating money, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(C) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503 of the City Charter.
