BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

WHEREAS, the City has previously entered into a contract with LAZ Parking Midwest LLC ("Contractor"), dated June 28, 2018, (EV2321) for Contractor to provide parking enforcement services with options for renewal; and

WHEREAS, the Contractor has performed the services required by the contract and the City desires that the contract be amended for Contractor to provide parking enforcement services, maintenance and citation management; and

WHEREAS, EV2321 currently has four annual renewal options and the City is adding a fifth annual renewal option; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Manager of Procurement Services is hereby authorized to execute Contract No. EV2321 Amendment No. 1 with LAZ Parking Midwest, LLC in the amount of $290,730.42 to add on-street parking enforcement, maintenance and citation management, for a seven-month pro-rated term beginning December 1, 2021, then following the original contract renewal options and to add a fifth optional renewal year. A copy the of proposed amendment is on file in Procurement Services.

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is authorized to expend up to the sum of $290,730.42 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 22-2160-891273-B Downtown Parking Control to satisfy the costs of this amendment .

Section 3. That the Manager of Procurement Services is authorized to extend the Contract without additional Council authorization.
