Appropriating $3,811,835.76 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the City Legal Expense Fund to the Appropriated Fund Balance of the City Legal Expense Fund; and approving and authorizing settlement of the lawsuit entitled Terry L. Bolliger v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, Case No. 20AE-CC00252.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

                     Section 1  Appropriating the sum of $3,811,835.76 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the City Legal Expense Fund in the following account:

 

22-7010-131521-B                                                               General Liability                                                               $3,811,835.76                                          

 

Section 2.  That the payment of the sum of $345,000.00 in settlement of the lawsuit styled, Terry L. Bolliger v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, Case No. 20AE-CC00252, as recommended by the City Attorney and the Risk Management Committee, is hereby approved.

 

Section 3.  That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to pay the sum of $345,000.00 in settlement of said claims in this lawsuit from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 22-7010-131521-B, General Liability.
