Authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into a $7,520,000.00 design and building services agreement with Radmacher Brothers Excavating, Inc., for the 63rd Street Section 1 Reconstruction, Woodland Avenue to Prospect Avenue Project; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Radmacher Brothers Excavating, Inc., in the amount of $7,520,000.00 for design and building services in Project No. 89008711, 63rd Street Reconstruction, Woodland Avenue to Prospect Avenue, from funds hereby and previously appropriated to the following accounts:

AL-3522-898015-B-89008711 63rd Street Roadway Improvements $5,900,000.00
23-8010-807705-B-8002415 Water Main Relocation 1,620,000.00
TOTAL: $7,520,000.00

A copy of the contract is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works.

Section 2. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.
