RESOLUTION - Congratulating the Kansas City Chiefs on winning Super Bowl LVII.

WHEREAS, the Kansas City Chiefs won the 2023 AFC Championship game at Arrowhead Stadium, thereby advancing to Super Bowl LVII on February 12, 2023, where a matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles awaited; and

WHEREAS, the Kansas City Chiefs played through injuries and a halftime deficit to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35, taking the lead for the final time on a 27-yard field goal by Harrison Butker with 8 seconds remaining on the clock; and

WHEREAS, regular season National Football League Most Valuable Player Quarterback Patrick Mahomes received honors as Super Bowl LVII's Most Valuable Player; and

WHEREAS, Head Coach Andy Reid secured his 22nd postseason win and 2nd Super Bowl victory in his 24-year head coaching career, and has no plans to retire; and

WHEREAS, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Clark Hunt, President Mark Donovan, and General Manager Brett Veach have led a world-class organization to continued success and have positioned the Chiefs' for continued success in future seasons; and

WHEREAS, hundreds of thousands of Kansas City Chiefs fans, members of the "Chiefs Kingdom," flooded into downtown Kansas City, Missouri on February 15, 2023 for a victory parade to celebrate the Chiefs' outstanding season culminating in the organization's third Super Bowl victory; and

WHEREAS, the Chiefs victory parade was a safe, family-friendly celebration due to the tremendous efforts of the Kansas City Sports Commission, Kansas City, Missouri Police Department, Kansas City, Missouri Fire Department, Kansas City Public Works Department, and the Kansas City Parks & Recreation Department; and NOW, THEREFORE,
