Accepting funds allocated by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, FY 2022 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) in the amount of $678,136.00; estimating and appropriating $678,136.00 in the Justice Assistance Grant Fund; authorizing cooperative agreements with the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office ($291,598.00), the City of Grandview ($13,700.00), the City of Independence ($61,032.00), the City of Raytown ($14,199.00), and the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission ($100,000.00); and designating requisitioning authority.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Mayor and Council acknowledge and accept the funds allocated by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance provided under an agreement with the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office, from the Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of $678,136.00.
Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the Justice Assistance Grant Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:
23-2410-570001-476045-G57JAG22 Justice Assistance Grant $678,136.00
Section 3. That $678,136.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Justice Assistance Grant Fund to the following accounts:
2410-575301-A-G57JAG22 Justice Assistance Grant $177,611.00
2410-575301-B-G57JAG22 Justice Assistance Grant 500,525.00
TOTAL $678,136.00
Section 4. That the Director of Neighborhood Services Department is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a Cooperative Agreement with the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office in the amount of $291,598.00. The agreement is approved in substantial form, as that file with the City Clerk.
