RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to develop a funding plan to increase the City’s contribution into the Employee Retirement System by $200.00 per month per retiree; and establishing reporting requirements.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the City Manager is directed to develop a funding plan utilizing the quarterly budget analysis to increase the City’s contribution to the Employee Retirement System by $200.00 per month per retiree.
Section 2. The City Manager shall provide a report to the City Council by August 18, 2023 on the funding plan and feasibility of implementing the increase in Section 1, and if it is determined to not be feasible at that time, shall continue to report to the City Council within two weeks of the end of each quarter on the feasibility of implementation until implemented. If the increase in the City’s contribution is not implemented in Fiscal Year 2023-24, the City Manager shall include such increase in the budget recommendation to Council for the Fiscal Year 2024-25.
