Approving and authorizing settlement of a lawsuit entitled Salahuddin Abdul-Waali v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, Case No. 4:23-cv-00288-HFS, in the amount of $75,000.00.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the payment of the sum of $75,000.00 for the settlement of claims asserted by Salahuddin Abdul-Waali in the lawsuit styled Salahuddin Abdul-Waali v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, Case No. 4:23-cv-00288-HFS, as recommended by the City Attorney and the Risk Management Committee, is hereby approved.
Section 2. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to pay the sum of $75,000.00 in settlement of said claims asserted by Salahuddin Abdul-Waali in this lawsuit from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 24-7010-131543-B, Public Official Liability Fund.
