Reducing an appropriation in the amount of $2,500,000.00 in General Obligation Series 2021 Q1 Bond Funds; appropriating $2,500,000.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance in the General Obligation Series 2021 Q1 Bond Funds to the project account of Gregory Boulevard Bridge; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

WHEREAS, the Noland Road & Missouri Route 350 Highway project in Council District 5 is being turned over to MoDOT for completion and funds in this project are available to assist with completing the Gregory Boulevard Bridge project; and
WHEREAS, the Gregory Boulevard Bridge project will remove and replace the existing bridge over the Blue River and Union Pacific Railroad to enhance pedestrian safety, enhance traffic flow and ensure continued access to the area; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the amount of $2,500,000.00 is hereby reduced in the following account of the General Obligation Bond 2021 Q1 Fund 3521:
AL-3521-898015-B-89008226 Noland Road & State Route 350 Highway $2,500,000.00
Section 2. That the sum of $2,500,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance to the following account of the GO Bond 2021 Q1 Fund 3521:
AL-3521-898015-B-89008587 Gregory Boulevard Bridge $2,500,000.00
Section 3. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.
