BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Fire Chief is hereby authorized to accept a grant from the United States Department of Homeland Security Fire Prevention and Safety Grant Program in the amount of $82,000.00 for the purchase of a one-year software license to manage targeting and tracking elements and maintain a database for relationship management, as well as 4,000 smoke alarms with 10-year tamper proof battery over two years. A copy of the grant award agreement in substantial form is on file with the Office of the Fire Chief.

Section. 2. That revenue in the following account of the General Grant Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

24-2580-230001-474630-G23202200561A Federal Grant Revenue $82,000.00

Section 3. That the sum of $82,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Grant Fund in the following account of the General Grant Fund:

24-2580-235011-C- G23202200561A Fire Prevention & Safety
(FPS) $82,000.00

Section 4. That the Fire Chief is authorized to expend $4,100.00 already appropriated in Fiscal Year 2023-24 budget Account No. 24-2300-233100-B, to satisfy the City's match of $4,100.00 per the awarded Fire Prevention and Safety Grant Program....
