BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Fire Chief is hereby authorized to accept a grant from the United States Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program in the amount of $1,677,279.29 for the purchase of 2,088 assorted fire attack hose sizes, 510 multiple types of nozzle's, 82 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) BLS Level, and access to an online training platform to implement NFPA 1962 compliance software for inventory and annual testing records as a part of our ESO Asset Management contract. A copy of the grant award agreement, in substantial form, is on file with the Office of the Fire Chief.

Section. 2. That revenue in the following account of the General Grant Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

24-2580-230001-474630-G2322005656 Federal Grant Revenue $1,677,279.29

Section 3. That the sum of $1,677,279.29 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Grant Fund in the following account of the General Grant Fund:

24-2580-235006-C-G2322005656 Assist to Firefighters (AFG) $1,677,279.29
