Authorizing the Mayor to negotiate an amended employment agreement with Brian Platt to continue serving as City Manager.

WHEREAS, the Council appointed Brian Platt to serve as the City Manager of the City of Kansas City, Missouri pursuant to Resolution No. 200933; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council desire to continue employing Brian Platt as City Manager; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Platt has represented to the Council that he will withdraw his name from any current pursuits for appointment to any other governmental executive position upon passage of this ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to negotiate an “Amended Employment Agreement Between the City of Kansas City, Missouri and Brian Platt.”
