RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to provide the City Council a status update on Housing and Community Development Department contracts within five days; and directing the City Manager to provide the City Council a contract process corrective action plan within fourteen days.

WHEREAS, the City Council would like to be apprised of the status of contracts managed by the Housing and Community Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the status update shall include a delineation of potential issues with unexecuted contracts, contract inefficiencies or deficiencies, and unpaid invoices, if any; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires a corrective action plan that addresses any found contract issues in the statues update; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the City Manager is directed to provide the City Council a status update on Housing and Community Development Department contracts within five days, including potential issues with unexecuted contracts, contract inefficiencies or deficiencies, and unpaid invoices, if any.
Section 2. That the City Manager is directed to provide a corrective action plan to the City Council within 14 days that addresses any found contract issues in the status update and that: 1) addresses any found contract issues; 2) improves contract processing; 3) remediates any contract backlogs; and 4) settles any unpaid invoices.
