RESOLUTION - Expressing the City Council's support for the City's grant application for the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) in the amount of $76,823,423.00, which would require local matching funds up to the amount of $19,205,856.00; and directing the Director of Public Works to submit the grant application to MARC.

WHEREAS, MARC serves as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Greater Kansas City, and is soliciting project proposals for four Federal Highway Administration funding programs: 2025-2028 Carbon Reduction Program (CRP), 2027-2028 Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ), 2027-2028 Surface Transportation Block Grant Program (STBG) and the 2027-2028 STBG Set-aside (formerly Transportation Alternatives or TAP); and

WHEREAS, Public Works has identified fifteen (15) top priority projects which will be ready for obligation within the target federal fiscal years and which have engineering, right-of-way, and matching funds identified and/or appropriated:

1. KCI-29 Mexico City Ave extension (Council District 1)

2. Pleasant Valley Road (Council District 2)

3. Traffic Signal Upgrades (Council District 3)
* 18th at Paseo
* Linwood at Indiana
* Linwood at Cleveland

4. Grand Ave Bike/Ped Bridge (Council District 4)

5. Columbus Park Sidewalks (Council District 4)

6. Lee's Summit Road (Council District 5)

7. 63rd Street Reconstruction - Woodland to Troost (Council District 5)

8. Holmes Rd Blue Ridge to 135th (Council District 6)

9. Trolley Track Bridge (Council District 6)

10. Traffic Operations Center upgrades and TIS (two projects Citywide)
