Authorizing the Director of Water Services to execute a $2,442,330.00 construction contract with Kissick Construction Company, Inc., for the Water Main Replacement in the Area of Troost Avenue to Brooklyn Avenue, E. 83rd Street to E. 85th Street project; authorizing a maximum expenditure of $2,686,563.00; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Water Services Department is authorized to execute Contract No. 9825 in the amount of $2,442,330.00 with Kissick Construction Company, Inc., for the Water Main Replacement in the Area of Troost Avenue to Brooklyn Avenue, E. 83rd Street to E. 85th Street project, Project No. 80002477.  A copy of the contract is on file in the office of Water Services.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $2,686,563.00 from Account No. AL-8082-807705-611060-80002477, Water Main Replacement Program, to satisfy the cost of this contract.

 

Section 3. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.
