Authorizing amendment No. 3 with McClure Engineering Company in the amount of $325,759.00 for completion of the design for Holmes Road from Blue Ridge to 137th Street Roadway Improvements (Project Number 89008543) for a total contract amount of $902,259.00 and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

WHEREAS, City Council approved Ordinance No. 170926 which authorized a Design Professional Services agreement with Shafer, Kline and Warren, Inc. in the amount of $420,000.00 for the project; and
WHEREAS, City Council approved Ordinance No. 200619 which authorized a Design Professional Services Amendment No. 1 with McClure Engineering in the amount of $108,000.00 for the project; and
WHEREAS, Director of Public Works approved a Design Professional Services Amendment No. 2 with McClure Engineering in the amount of $48,500.00 for the project; and
WHEREAS, Amendment No. 3 is needed to complete the design and prepare project specifications for construction; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY
Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute the design professional services Amendment No. 3 with McClure Engineering Company in the amount of $325,759.00 for Project No. 89008543 Holmes Road from Blue Ridge to 137th Street for a total amount of $902,259.00. A copy of the amendment is on file with the Public Works Department.
Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $325,759.00 from funds previously appropriated in the account string 24-3090-898601-B-89008543.
Section 3. That this ordnance, relating to the design repair, maintenance, or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Secti...
