Accepting and approving a one year $202,143.93 grant with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services that provides funding for the Maternal Child Health Services program; and designating requisitioning authority.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, whereby the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will provide funding for programs that address women and children's wellness issues such as injury prevention, for the period beginning October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023, for an amount not to exceed $202,143.93, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is on file with the Director of Health.
Section 2. That the Director of Health is hereby designated as requisitioning authority and is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $148,356.02 from funds previously appropriated to:

23-2480-505803-B-G50MCH23 Maternal Child Health Services 80,599.27
23-2480-505803-C-G50MCH23 Maternal Child Health Services 3,717.75
TOTAL $148,356.02

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
