Estimating revenue in the amount of $125,000.00 in the Capital Improvements Grant Fund; appropriating that amount for the North Terrace Lake Improvements project to the same fund; and establishing an effective date.

WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) Land Conservation Partnership Grant (LCPG) program has awarded funding to the North Terrace Lake Improvements Project in the amount of $125,000.00; and
WHEREAS, this project will consist of engaging design professional services to perform a lake analysis report, improvements design, conservation plan, and operation and maintenance plan for the lake; and
WHEREAS, on February 7, 2023, the Board of Parks and Recreation passed Resolution No. 32128 which approved for the Director or designee to execute the necessary documents from MDC for the North Terrace Lake Improvements Project (in Kessler Park) on behalf of the Board; and
WHEREAS, this project requires a local match of $150,000.00 that has been funded as part of the Parks and Recreation Continuing Funding Memo; and
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Conservation and the City wish to complete the project cooperatively and in partnership; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the revenue in the amount of $125,000.00 is hereby estimated in the following amount of the Capital Improvements Grant Fund:
24-3091-700000-475860-70235001 MO Dept of Conservation Grant $ 125,000.00
Section 2. That the sum of $125,000.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvements Grant Fund to the following accounts in the Capital Improvements Grant Fund:
24-3091-708093-611040-70235001 North Terrace Lake Improvements $ 125,000.00
