BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, whereby the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will provide funding to support local public health agencies to serve as community leaders in performing the core public health functions of assessment, planning, policy development and assurance for a period beginning June 1, 2022 through May 31, 2023, for an amount not to exceed $596,451.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is on file with the Director of Health.
Section 2. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $506,712.00 from funds appropriated to Account No. 23-2480-505804-G50580423 for public health purposes.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
